1970 Kawasaki G31M
What a roach it was when it came to the collection. Steve Karlstedt sold us this bike which had been sitting in his massive collection await restoration for years. We sent this bike and another direct to Dave Boydston of AMS Racing for a complete restoration. When we obtained the bike it had no engine but Steve was kind enough to sell us a freshly rebuilt G31M engine in brand new shape. It was expensive but you try and find a G31M engine in any shape let alone perfect shape.It was Dave's vision to restore it to its TT trim and modernize it. When we got it it had a white paint scheme with pinkish red flame. You read that correctly pinkish red flames. The tank and rear section were sent to Ric Tipton who performed his magic on it returning a perfect tank with no bondo and a new paint job and seat on the rear panel. Finally the bike was topped off with a torque engineering down pipe we were able to obtain.
The bike turned out so well that Steve provided his road racer centurion to the collection. After restoration you will be able to see it here.
